Frank Hursh

Frank Hursh is a graduate of Sam Houston State University, where he obtained a Bacheor of Science degree in both Agri-Economics and Criminology. After graduation, he returned home to Katy, Texas where he grew up. Franks extensive insurance background started soon after by going to work for the Progressive Insurance Corporation, a fortune 500 blue chip company. While at Progressive, Frank started as a field claims adjuster. Frank was then promoted quickly to Claims Manager where he managed a large group of adjusters. After learning all aspects of claims management, Frank was then promoted to organize and manage the Special Investigative Unit for Progressive’s Houston and surrounding territories. While acting in this position, Frank learned all aspects of fraud associated with the insurance industry while working with various law enforcement agencies and the local and state district attorneys offices. Frank spent a great deal of time in this position pursuing legal defense and legal recourse for the Progressive Corporation while working with retained law firms and local agencies.

After much deliberation, Frank realized that there was more to the insurance industry than administration and elected to take a position with the Allstate Corporation, another fortune 500 blue chip company. Frank attended a professional education program in Chicago, Illinois with Allstate and soon there after started, “ The Frank Hursh Insurance Agency Inc.” located in Katy, Texas in the Cinco Ranch Community. Frank’s responsibilities for the Allstate Corporation were to start a start up a full service agency offering all products and services underwritten by the Allstate Corporation. Frank grew the company quickly and efficiently while managing millions of dollars for the Allstate Corporation while also achieving numerous awards and promotion opportunities. Frank began to realize that the insurance industry was evolving into a commodity driven market by both consumer needs and technology thus, he sold his business and started an independent agency.

Frank solicited the expertise of several insurance professionals whom he had known for years and all agreed that vision of starting an independent agency was both necessary and inevitable in today’s market place. Frank realized that consumers were looking for choice, options, and expertise thus, the birth of “Texas Insurance Agency “ took place. Frank and his partners started Texas Insurance Agency with know how, practicality, and a vision. The goal is to build multiple locations in urban areas, offer a multitude of insurance products and services through the many companies Texas Insurance Agency represents. The solution was simple, offer choice at a competitive price and take care of your client! Frank specializes in personal lines insurance, commercial insurance and health insurance. Frank takes great pride in his business, work ethic and the many networking relationships he has developed along the way. Frank sums it up best, “ Texas Insurance Agency, where you have choice!”

Frank and his wife Suzette have three lovely children, Chad, Christine, and Catherine. Although Frank has accomplished much personally and professionally his greatest accomplishment is being a husband and a father. Both Frank and Suzette are heavily involved in all their children’s activities, which include soccer, basketball, softball, track and baseball. Frank even volunteers his time each and every year to Katy Youth Soccer, HYFL Football, Katy Girls Softball Association, Katy Youth Basketball and Upwards Basketball Program. As a coach, Frank is energetic and positive with all the children he coaches never straying from the “real life lessons” sports teaches. He believes in strong morals and values and places God and family at the top.

In addition to spending time with his family, Frank also loves spending time at his ranch in Pattison, TX. As an active FFA member in high school and college Frank developed a strong passion for ranching and loves spending time with his cattle and horses. He loves to rope and ride and has even gotten his children involved with the sport.

Frank and Texas Insurance Agency remain committed to giving back to the community both professionally and personally through volunteerism and money.
