John Wayne Kelly

John graduated from Texas Southern University in 1986 where he earned a BA in Business Management and Accounting. In 1987 John began his professional career in sales with Robbin’s Nissan. During John’s twenty one year career with Robbin’s Nissan he was responsible for business planning and development, strategic sales and market planning, new business/client development, staffing, training and service operations. In addition, he forecasted and controlled a multi-million dollar budget and managed up to twenty seven employees. During his career at Robbin’s Nissan John was recognized by earning several top sales and leadership awards.

In 2008 after a successful career in the auto business, John decided to utilize his talents and start his own business as a Farmer’s Insurance Agent. With his outgoing personality and strong commitment to customer service, John rapidly built a loyal clientele. In 2011 John decided to join Texas Insurance Agency as an independent insurance agent so that he may offer more choices to his clients. John brings a wealth of professional experience and knowledge to the Texas Insurance Agency organization. John is firmly committed to offering his clients professional insurance advice backed by superior customer service. It is with these qualities and many more that Texas Insurance Agency is honored to welcome John as a member of the team.

John was born and raised in the Houston area so he is familiar with the community and the clients he serves. He and his wife Melisia enjoy spending time watching their son Cameron play basketball for Klein Collins High School. While John works hard to build the insurance business, Melisia spends her time volunteering at Klein Collins High School. John’s hobbies include participating in and watching basketball, football, and bowling.
